The Whole staff team have extensive experience in caring for people with mental health, Learning Disability and complex care needs. Excellence Care is aware it’s support staff plays a vital role in the welfare of the service user and will ensure that:
  • We will employ staff in sufficient numbers and with relevant skill mix to meet the needs of the service users.
  • Observe recruitment policies and practices, which both respect equal opportunities and protect service user’s safety and welfare.
  • Offer staff support, supervision and a range of training, which is relevant to their induction, foundation experience and further development.
The whole senior team work alongside staff to ensure a high standard of quality care is being provided. All care staff undertake individual induction training programmes; in addition, we provide a programme of on-going training.

I have been a support worker for excellence care since December 2016. I made a career change after many years of working in financial services due to realising that I needed to work in a role which gives me the chance to make a difference and excellence care has enabled me to do that.

I want to make a difference in peoples lives and I find my job role very rewarding and feel that I am naturally empathetic and inclined to offer my help to those in need.

Since starting work at excellence care, I have felt much happier in my work than I can ever remember, I get a great deal of satisfaction from helping our service users wit every day living and being able to listen to them and offer a help in hand.

I've also felt a great deal of support from my team leaders and from the management team. I feel secure within my role and that they will always support me in achieving better. I really feel I made the right move with joining excellence care and I feel that i will continue to be very happy within my job role.

"My Name is Katie, I am a Team Leader for Excellence Care and have been working for the company for around 3 years. I began working as a support worker, supporting service users within there every day lives and gaining a real sense of reward seeing clients achieve their goals and successfully recovering.

After around 8 months, I was given the opportunity of becoming a team leader. This was a whole new challenge for me and I received greatly appreciated support from direct mangers so I was able to progress within my role. I continue to support service users on a daily basis alongside the team that I lead.

I support the smooth running of the service alongside a great team of managers, team leaders and also a very supportive staff team. I support families of service users and work with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that service users are at the heart of the support we offer.

We love to see clients achieve success and progress in their life journey, we offer support in order for clients to feel comfortable, listened too and understood. As a team leader, I promote the development of a person, their individuality and ensure that support needs and wishes are met in a way that is tailored to the clients needs.

I enjoy my job because of the team that I work with, the clients that we support, the challenges we face. Its not always easy but I experience great job satisfaction and I am proud of our clients"
